The Juso Plant received approval to display the Japan Industrial Standards (JIS) mark for carbon steel balls used in bicycles. It received the Minister of International Trade and Industry Award as a model JIS-certified factory. Invested in and established AKS Sales Co., Ltd.

The Juso Plant was merged with the Owada Plant (now Head Office & Manufacturing Plant)
