Ni Hau! (Hello!) Opened in 2004, the China Plant (ACB) is the newest overseas plant within the AKS Group. The plant is located in the Xiaoshan Economic and Technology Development Zone inHangzhou City,Zhejiang, where many Japanese companies are establishing bases. Currently the plant has approximately 180 workers, the majority of whom are from the country and live communally in dormitories near the plant.
AKS has five employees fromJapanstationed at the plant, and they live inHangzhouCity. Located approximately one hour fromShanghaiby high-speed train,HangzhouCityis famous for the World Heritage listedWest Lakeand is visited by many tourists from around the world.
In order to response to domestic demand in China, which is expected to continue to grow more and more in the future, in 2012 the plant was enlarged to three-times its original size and a grand opening ceremony was held. New equipment is being gradually installed, and we plan for the China Plant to grow to become the AKS Group production base with the highest production volume. We look forward to working with highly motivated people who want very much to work at such a rewarding plant.
